Moonlighter hails weekend's Full Moon in Cancer

Moonlighter has dropped by to celebrate this weekend's Super Full Moon in Cancer, sign of the crab. 'Super' because Moon is at perigee, Luna's closest approach to earth for all of 2009.

As you know, Cancer is a Water sign which conjures up oceanic visions of primordial ooze, and this little Western Australian Moonlighter may have been hatched under Cancer's rays...who knows?

And you may wish to view the horoscope chart of the Full Moon (21Can02) with details.

There will be a Mystic Rectangle pattern overhead as well as a YOD, or Finger of God, pattern superimposed one over the other.

As usual, I've set the chart for Washington, DC with a squinty eye cast toward political thespians because that's how I roll - with Political Astrology, aka Mundane Astrology, when I'm not at my drafting table drawing little fishies.

Check it out if you get a mo!

Puppy Cams are Cool and so is Queenee!

Update Jan 24, 2009: well, puppy cams ARE cool but puppies grow up (and don't come with their own savings accounts or health insurance coverage, my main gripes against having them any more) so I will update Dreamyfish Art asap with newer puppies puppying around in extreme cuteness - puppies that haven't grown too big for video viewing!

In lieu of a squirmy puppies video, here's a pic of Queenee, our wonderful coon hound of several years...the kind that bays a bluesy tune at every Full Moon!

A Spinning Cosmic Art Cube!

Yes! my Spinning Cosmic Art Cube is still viewable with a cool Diana Krall tune to perk up the illustrations.

Using images of my drawings from Dreamyfish Art (where you are at the moment! hello?), Cosmic Persona Designs, and Secret Moon Art, the revolving Art Cube (courtesy of Slide.com) is more fun than a barrel of cheeky monkeys, so check it out right away if you may.

Mermaid sighting!

A mythical mermaid has floated by the see what's up with fish portraits and videos here at Dreamyfish Art! Maya as Mermaid is a pencil drawing by yours truly, Jude Cowell.

And you may wish to visit my 'Tapestry Blog' of Art, Astrology, Politics, and the occasional harmless sprinkling of political poetry at Jude's Threshold if you have a moment to spare. Check the sidebar of Pages for a few Wedding Day Astrology Reports of famous couples, some who are no longer together. Bill and Hill are there!

Plus, you'll find even more Politics considered through a populist lens via the use of Astrology at Stars Over Washington where I mainly hang out.

Or, you may always mosey over to Lim's Limericks and get the snarly cat limericking over and done with!

Clownfish-Sea Anemone video!

Couldn't resist embedding this charming National Geographic video of Clownfish showing the symbiotic relationship between them and their poisonous Sea anemone partners - just like Nemo and his dad in Finding Nemo!

Got Fish Oil? Improvement will follow

As most people are aware, taking fish oil is good support for many health conditions with research studies into its benefits ongoing.

Even the topical application of fish oil may be useful for easing such skin conditions as eczema and psoriasis.

Well, here's a link to a website with a list of current research info on a variety of medical conditions which show benefits from the use of fish oil. It's called Oil of Pisces and you can probably guess that it's the site's name that first attracted me like a bass to a worm!

You'll even find there an article concerning the fish oil/mercury issue which gives pause to some, but check out the info when you get a moment...you may be pleasantly surprised.
